Finds: a new shower curtain

Living in a rental property has its unique challenges. Issues mainly arise when the decorating choices are dictated by permanent features that can't been hidden by a coat of paint or a throw rug. In the bathroom of my little rental house I'd been ignoring the one big problem - a line of cobalt blue tile in the shower. When I moved in, I threw up my Martha Stewart yellow floral print shower curtain and called it a day. My parents had tried to help with the coordination by finding and installing for me a cobalt blue tension rod to hold the shower curtain, but the combination had always bothered me just a tad.

Walking through Target recently I stumbled accidentally upon a perfect solution (on sale!) and snatched it up on a whim. Yellow (to match the towels) + cobalt blue (to match the tile) + lime green (one of my decorating favorites) = happy bathroom. Plus, I love the Moroccan feel of the design in comparison to the wimpy floral in there before. Brings a different level of energy to the room.

Only problem now is that I feel that the lines of pattern aren't straight. I'm constantly adjusting the shower curtain to make it look right. Think I might have to pull out my level this weekend and get to the source of that obsession. But all in all, I'm very pleased with how much impact one little (inexpensive, impermanent) change made...

I love it - now it looks like you meant to have blue tiles in your bathroom rather than trying to cover it up.

Love, love, love! The perfect solution! I suffer from the same problem- my bathroom is a lovely combo of pepto bismol pink tile on the floor, toilet and tub, but different shades of blue around the rest. Awesome, right! So I've tried downplaying it with white curtains and light mats, but I gave up last year and when with an obnoxious multicolored striped curtain from the beloved Target and accenting fun pink towels. Embrace it right!

Great color/pattern in new curtain (I'm a huge fan of cobalt blue - and glad you're enjoying it more now).
Hope Gracie's nose/spot AOK.

This made me giggle - I'd get the level out, too.

I think the new curtain looks FANTASTIC. Great choice.

Beautiful shower curtain! I just went back to white in my bathroom. Boring but bright.
