museum fun and my new denim trousers

I just finished watching last night's Glee and have last night's Top Chef next to watch. This season's Top Chef is especially fun for me because one of the contestants (well, two actually) are from my hometown area. I definitely have a favorite that I'm rooting for, which I won't officially reveal because I'm afraid it might jinx it.

The looming holidays have me in a bit of a panic. First up is our Christmas program at work that I have yet to plan - it involves holiday scenarios in the historic rooms of the house and a whole memo that tells the tour guides what they should say in the rooms of the house. It has to be based on historic fact and include interesting aspects of the family's history. No problem!

I wore my new Ralph Lauren (outlet purchase) denim trouser pants this week and am totally in love - denim in a work appropriate pant?! Why did I not jump on this before now?! Definitely the best of both worlds and they are the perfect length for wearing with cute ballet flats.

I am obsessed with Top Chef!!! Have you ever been to that restaurant Volt? I checked out the menu online - looks good! I also remember you talking about Zatinya (probably spelled it wrong). We just finished watching last night's. Won't spoil it for you!

We have reservations for Volt for the Saturday after thanksgiving. my parents have been a few times, though, and absolutely love it!

Break a leg, Gretchen - I know the holiday exhibition/tour will be great in one of the greatest great houses!

Why do I know the name Zatinya?

Thanks John! You'll have to come visit very soon.

E - its the restaurant with tapas (although more middle eastern in nature I think?) - just down the street from jaleo. I think we might have gone there together once...

I believe both Voltaggio brothers are from MD....hmmmm....I wonder which one you like. I love it this season because they keep popping up at the Wynn where Natalie and I enjoy vacationing (unfortunately we haven't eaten at either of the fancy restaurants because it would cost a mortgage payment)
