a late arrival

Light dusting of snow this morning, but otherwise, we are melting, melting, melting. I have my first day free of work in a couple of weeks and am enjoying a leisurely cup of coffee (with peppermint-mocha creamer that the lovely folks at Coffee-mate have now decided to make available year round due to my obsession, thankyouverymuch).

What has everyone else been up to? On my part, besides work, it has been a little cleaning (scrubbed my kitchen floor one morning), laundry, very little cooking, and lots of trying to stay up late enough to actually watch the Olympics (I have sadly failed every night).

You may have noticed I no longer am listening to Harry Potter in the car. A sad, sad day when my last cd ended. I may just have to start it all over again, but am trying other stories for now.

I have one bloom on my Christmas cactus. Nothing like a late arrival.

I've been desperately purging, purging, purging. 5 enormous boxes of cardboard boxes gone! 2 filled supercans of trash (with more to come) gone! 5 boxes of books for the library and 10 boxes and bags of things for the thrift store. 2 huge bins of fabric and about four boxes of craft stuff for the craft swap. Where on earth did I hide all this stuff?

I. Totally. Cried. When the last Harry Potter audio cd ended. It took me 9 months to listen to the whole series and my very first thought was "should I start over again?"

Love those books and the audio versions were exquisite.

I'm interested in your latest car book. Checking it out now.

I'm listening to "The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society" in the car. Great audio version.
