The strawberries have finally started to ripen and I harvested my first batch on Sunday with a few more ready on Monday morning. Nothing can replicate that first sweet bite from a strawberry fresh out of the garden.Even if you have to work around bird beak marks.

Beautiful. Apparently strawberries were a bumper crop this year because of the winter rain and we've really stocked up from our grocery store. I'm hoping to get to a farmer's market soon. I'll let you know what I think when I go!
