Amidst my weeding and plotting in the garden this past weekend I also found some little surprises... Like renegade grape hyacinths who seem to have founded a new colony in my side yard among my irises. I hope they stay a while.
And this little promise of a hosta to come...

My mom always referred to these as "volunteers" and they're the best! We ended up having an entire field of gorgeous daffodils that were volunteers. Ah, spring :o)
