armful

Hydrangeas have got to be one of my favorite blooms.  When they bloom blue, that is.  Pink hydrangeas just don't do it for me.  Luckily the big armful we received in the CSA bag this week was just the right shade.

This was the first week of our farm share bag and I am now debating how to best utilize all the goodies - squash and fava beans and lettuces and all sorts of other things.  Need to sit down and plot the plan for this week.  Always a challenge to work from ingredients to the dish rather than the other way around, and so often I just saute or grill the veggies for a simple supper.  Simple just seems right sometimes.  Especially in the summertime.
