better late than never

Spring really feels like it has arrived. The sun has been shining around here, the breeze blowing, and the daffodils and crocuses showing their heads. Once the piles of snow in the front flower beds melted, I checked expectantly for my hellebores to be blooming (supposed to bloom in January/February), but alas.

Then lo and behold! This morning as I was leaving the house I was surprised by one brave little lenten rose - a beautiful dusty mauve color. I'm hoping that her friends follow suit. Better late than never...
